Global Women are excited to announce two strategic appointments that will propel our mission forward. Please join us in welcoming Teresa Pollard as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Anya Satyanand as the Director of Women in Leadership.
The selection of Teresa Pollard as COO is a testament to our strategic direction towards strengthening organisational efficacy. Teresa is of Ngāpuhi, Ngāti Kahu ki Whangaroa and Ngāti Kauwhata descent. She has over 20 years in the technology sector spanning Singapore, New York, and Aotearoa. She brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record in organisational leadership and operational excellence. Teresa is a purpose and cultural led leader with a focus on impact through innovation.
Anya joins as a torchbearer of leadership, she is an experienced educational professional with pedagogical expertise, innovation, and strategic skills. She has demonstrated leadership at a local, national, and international level fostering growth in learning programs, cultures, and communities. A source of inspiration for Anya is a quote by Arundhati Roy “another world is not only possible, she is on her way, on a quiet day you can hear her breathing”.
As we embrace the new era, we also take a moment to extend our gratitude to Joe Consedine who is leaving us to pursue new opportunities. Joe has been an integral part of the Global Women journey; his unwavering commitment and contribution will leave an indelible mark. Under Joe’s stewardship, we have marked key milestones that have pushed the boundaries for diversity, equity and belonging.
