Two Global Women Members Among the First King’s Birthday Honours

Our first ever roll of King’s Birthday Honours in King Charles’ reign sees two wāhine in our community receive recognition for their dedication to excellence.

Congratulations to Global Women Members Lianne Dalziel and Maggie Eyre!

The Honourable Lianne Audrey Dalziel has been recognised for services to local government and as a Member of Parliament Companions of the New Zealand Order of Merit.

We’ve been fortunate to have Lianne share insights on her career in politics, including overseeing the rebuild of Christchurch for nine years, and more in kōreros with the Global Women community, as well as facilitating captivating discussions amongst the membership.

Margaret Mary (Maggie) Eyre has also been recognised for her services to business and the community as a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit

Joining recently, Maggie embraces business, public relations, education and theatre in a range of projects, excelling in the space of personal branding and leadership. Through her consultancy, Fresh Eyre, and books, Maggie is both passionate and talented at equipping people with the skills to share their perspectives and selves boldly.

We’re proud to see these outstanding women, dedicated to bettering our communities, be recognised for their mahi, mana and voices and can’t wait to see what strides they continue to take.
