Katie Bhreatnach

Katie is an experienced business leader who is passionate about the empowerment and advancement of wahine and Maori. She has a global perspective gleaned from experience studying and working overseas, coupled with a passion and drive for innovating for a strong, successful and sustainable Aotearoa for all of its people.

Her executive career is marked by commercial breadth across diverse sectors including financial services, FMCG, manufacturing, infrastructure, technology, and aviation.

An experienced Director and chartered member of the Institute of Directors, Katie’s current directorships include Global Women, AMP Wealth and AMP Services, te Wananga ō Aotearoa, College of Law, Trusts Arena Stadium and Chair of St Marys College in Ponsonby.

Katie has undergraduate degrees in law and arts from the University of Otago, a master’s degree from Trinity College in Dublin, is a graduate of the advanced management programme at global business school INSEAD and is a qualified lawyer in Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.

Katie is married and has three daughters Anahera, Atawhai and Kahurangi.

Outside of mahi, Katie is passionate about te reo Maori, spending time in the outdoors, supporting a number of sporting, cultural and community groups, and being a good ancestor.
