Global Women member, role model and advocate for empowered leadership, Monique Forbes is leading the way for transformative governance as a Future Director with the Institute of Directors board.
Monique is a Tainui (Ngāti Hikairo) and Pākehā woman who brings over 20 years of experience as a marketing, digital and customer leader in the corporate world to her new governance role. With a background in the aviation, advertising, renewable energy, utilities and financial industries, Monique is dedicated to developing sustainable and inclusive company cultures.
A mentor and advocate for diversity and inclusion, Monique is also currently serving as a board trustee for Inzone Education Foundation, a charitable trust that supports Māori and Pasifika rangatahi to take their place as leaders for the future of Aotearoa New Zealand.
“Future generations matter,” Monique shares in her mission statement with the Institute of Directors. “Good governance is providing diverse expertise and capabilities to really add value, ensuring decision making is in the best interests of the organisation and our planet.”
