The 23rd of November marked a big night for the exporting sector, Aotearoa’s organisations, and a number of members of the Global Women community.
The New Zealand International Business Awards 2023, hosted by Global Women partners New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE,) recognised the incredible efforts of Aotearoa’s exporting industry.
Vista, fellow Global Women Partners, were finalists in two categories: Excellence in Innovation as well as Best Large Business.
In addition, two of our recent Breakthrough Leaders almunae presented awards at the evening. Leliani Frew, Deputy Secretary, Financial and Commercial at Treasury presented one, alongside Georgia Mills, the Head of Investment, at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.
“The New Zealand International Business Awards are all about celebrating those successes, both in their own right and because they represent the contribution that all exporters are making to our communities and our country,” notes Convenor of Judges David Downs.
“A common theme in the whole awards process has been the idea of succeeding together as one,” notes David Downs—a theme that underpins our work and our community here at Global Women. “When an export business breaks through and gets results overseas, they deserve recognition and credit for that achievement, but their success is also a win for our export sector and ultimately for everyone in New Zealand.”
The New Zealand International Business Awards (NZIBA) have been held for more than 50 years with winners including some of New Zealand’s most dynamic businesses and inspirational leaders.
“A win for you is a win for us all,” marks the spirit of the International Business Awards. Considering the fact that Global Women partners (KMPG also being an event Partner to the International Business Awards) and Breakthrough Leaders, along with many more of our community members in the audience, it’s clear that progress—and taking Aotearoa to the world—is a collaborative effort.
