Fashion Designer Juliette Hogan on joining our Entrepreneurs Leadership Programme

We’ve had such overwhelming positive feedback about our new, nation-first Entrepreneurs Leadership Programme. So much so, that fashion designer and now participant Juliette Hogan has spoken to NZ Herald.co.nz about her decision to level up her entrepreneurial endeavours and join the programme.

“I think it is an amazing opportunity to spend time with and be coached by some of New Zealand’s leading female entrepreneurs. It will be an invaluable experience to be guided by these people in the industry but I also think it is a great opportunity to network with fellow female entrepreneurs in a learning environment,” Juliette shares with NZ Herald.

“It will be an invaluable experience to be guided by these people in the industry but I also think it is a great opportunity to network with fellow female entrepreneurs in a learning environment,” — Juliette Hogan.

Reflecting on the bumps that Covid placed in her eponymous brand’s road, Juliette’s move to join the programme marries up with her international expansion goals — something that is further detailed in the article

“What is special about it is we are utilising the wisdom and generosity — they are gifting their time — of some of our experienced Global Women entrepreneurs” — Theresa Gattung.

Our Chair, Theresa Gattung, who will also be involved in the programme, shares that Juliette’s sentiment is exactly the kind of idea that the programme is designed to work with. “It is not for women running start-ups who are trying to figure out from A to B — it is for women who want to take their business to the next stage, women who want to scale up their business and might be a bit stuck as to how to grow,” shares Theresa.

We’re also proud of the fact that we can draw on the wise, inspired minds of the Global Women Partners like NZTE and PwC, as well as entrepreneurs within our membership. Theresa muses on this in korero with NZ Herald, sharing we have just over 400 members and they have always been mixture of experienced entrepreneurs and women in corporates or other large organisations. What is special about it is we are utilising the wisdom and generosity — they are gifting their time — of some of our experienced Global Women entrepreneurs.”

“It is giving women a leg-up to even the playing field in a way — that’s how I see it,” shares Theresa. We, along with our members, panellists and Partners, have spoken at large about how nuances of sexism gets in the way of women trying to raise capital in Āotearoa. For us, this programme is “a unique opportunity to bring together an organisation that does this with the wisdom and experience of people who really want to support women to succeed as an entrepreneur” — Theresa Gattung.
