Global Women call to elevate the kōrero around equity.

In our current social and political climate, conversations about equity, diversity and biculturalism are more important than ever — and more fraught than ever. Global Women is partnering with Boma on a one-day workshop to raise our collective understanding of and skill at navigating this kaupapa.

Facilitated by renowned leader in Māori development, Treaty rights, language advocacy, and education, Dr Hana O’Regan, this workshop will provide context to the equity debate in Aotearoa. It will also explore individual experiences and understanding of equity at a personal and organisational level.

You’ll enhance your awareness of historic inequities and how they flow through to today, and explore thorny questions in a safe environment; leaving you prepared to tackle the topic out in the real world.

  • Is this really something we need to pay attention to?
  • Doesn’t equity just mean treating everyone equally?
  • When does it end?
  • What’s my responsibility here?

“Ensuring equity must be a consideration for all people leaders. This course enables you to understand what sits behind inequity and how we, as a community, need to align and support each other to address it.”
