About the Event
Anthem and Global Women are delighted to welcome Rosemary Banks, former New Zealand Ambassador to the United States, for a timely and strategic conversation on the evolving geopolitical environment and what it means for Aotearoa New Zealand, business, diplomacy, and leadership. Rosemary brings deep insight into navigating international relations, political volatility, and high-stakes negotiation through a uniquely New Zealand lens.
Joining her via livestream is Professor Dan Schnur, U.S. political strategist and academic, whose briefing on “Navigating Trump’s America” at the US Business Summit late last year generated significant attention and conversation. Dan will share his perspective from inside the current U.S. political climate – including how Trump has remade the American and international political landscapes, and which of those changes may be longer-lasting.
Together, they will explore:
- What rising uncertainty means for global leadership and governance
- Trade, diplomacy, and economic implications for New Zealand
- The role and visibility of women leaders in volatile political contexts
- Key signals to watch as U.S. politics enters a pivotal phase.
This session will run under the Chatham House Rule to enable open, frank discussion.
Speakers
- Rosemary Banks – Former New Zealand Ambassador to the United States, diplomat, and senior governance leader (in person)
- Professor Dan Schnur – U.S. political strategist, lecturer at Berkeley, Pepperdine and USC, and former presidential campaign communications director (via livestream)
