Shane has been CE of Whakaata Māori (formally Māori Television) for the past 3 years and has been leading the implementation of the organisation’s inter-generational vision of “kia tōnui a ngāi Māori, Māori are thriving”. Under his leadership Whakaata Māori has launched 2x apps, grown their audience and has been a champion of ensuring Whakaata Māori plays a leading role in the revitalisation of te reo Māori.
