A genuine, authentic, values-driven leader, Matt Prichard is the Executive Chairman for KPMG New Zealand. He is a dedicated husband and father of five.
Matt joined KPMG in 1994, and during this time has made his way around the world, working at KPMG offices in Wellington, Auckland, Luxembourg, Botswana and London as well as spending significant time in Southern Africa and Vanuatu.
An experienced audit and advisory partner, Matt has managed some of KPMG’s largest audit and advisory relationships across a range of sectors, helps lead the firm’s work with Māori and has previously been a member of the firm’s Executive Team. Through his work, Matt has developed a network of trusted relationships at Executive and Board level across New Zealand and Trans-Tasman major corporates.
Matt is passionate about inclusion across our communities and is a proud board member and supporter of World Vision New Zealand, and a facilitator for the Springboard Trust’s critical work with school principals.
In 2005 Matt was named “Young Chartered Accountant of the Year” by the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration (BCA) from Victoria University of Wellington and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Treasury from the Australian Securities Institute. Matt is a Chartered Accountant through CAANZ and a Certified Treasury Professional through INFINZ.
