Amanda Whiting is the CEO of IAG New Zealand, Aotearoa’s largest general insurance company.
Amanda joined IAG in 2008 and has more than 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry in both general and health insurance, having held senior roles in these industries as well as in telecommunications.
What brings Amanda to Champions for Change? A desire for a diverse workplace to reflect the communities we work in. But more specifically, Amanda is the mother to two adult children and is passionate about families and the role of the workplace in enabling parents to have meaningful careers.
Amanda’s personal purpose is to create experiences that help herself and others to learn and grow – and championing diversity and female leadership via the Global Women network is one way Amanda will be able to continue to achieve this.
IAG defines diversity as who we are (the differences that exist between our people, customers and communities); inclusion as what we do (the way we act to include our people, customers and communities); and belonging as how we feel (when people feel comfortable and supported to be themselves and that their contribution is valued).
Amanda is excited to join the Champions of Change to share her personal and organisational experiences and learn from other business leaders.
