SUMMARY:Turning collective action into change. Tell Tika

SUMMARY:A Story of Courage\, Connection and the Power of a Global Network: A Global Women Global Focus Event
DESCRIPTION:Join Global Women for an inspiring evening that brings our global mission to life – and celebrates the year\, our community and the connections that make it special. \nCourage\, connection and the power of a global network. What can happen when women across borders mobilise around a shared purpose? \nJoin us for the remarkable story of more than 200 Afghan women judges whose lives were put at grave risk when the Taliban returned to power in 2021 – and the international network of women judges that mobilised to help save them and their families. \nWe’ll hear first-hand from: \n\nThe Honourable Dame Susan Glazebrook DNZM – then President of the International Association of Women Judges and a leader of the international effort to evacuate the judges.\nRaihana Attaee – former Afghan judge\, evacuated to New Zealand.\n\nTheir story is a powerful example of women supporting women across borders – and a springboard for a conversation about Global Women’s own global ambition. We’ll also be joined by some IAWJ members. \nOver drinks and canapés\, we’ll explore what greater international connection could mean for our members\, our network and the impact we want to have in the world. \nInternational members and those outside Auckland can join online and will be able to contribute to the discussion. \nEvent details: \nWednesday 25 November 2026\, 4pm-6pm\nThe Northern Club | 19 Princes Street\, Auckland\nPricing: $65\nOpen to Global Women members only

SUMMARY:Global Women Members Hui - Kirikirioa Hamilton 2027
DESCRIPTION:He piko\, he taniwha \nAt every bend\, a leader. Making leadership enduring. \nMembers Hui 2027 | Kirikiriroa Hamilton | Midday Thursday 20 May 2027 to late Friday 21 May 2027 \nWaikato taniwha rau\, he piko he taniwha\, he piko he taniwha. The Waikato winds through Kirikiriroa\, and at every bend stands a leader. No bend holds the river. Each one receives the water\, shapes its course and sends it on. \nThat is the leadership we gather to explore in 2027: leadership that endures because it is handed on. Tuakana teina sits at the centre of this hui. Each of us is tuakana to someone and teina to someone else\, and the strength of our network lies in how well we carry one another forward. \nWe open with pōwhiri and a welcome to the whenua\, then gather at Zealong Tea Estate. In 1996 its founder imported 1\,500 tea cuttings\, a crop nobody had grown successfully in this country. Only 130 survived quarantine. Every one of the 1.2 million plants on the estate today descends from them. Patient work\, passed down\, still bearing harvest. \nCome to reflect\, reconnect\, and leave with enduring relationships that lasts well beyond two days. \nOpen to Global Women Members only. \nEarly bird\, until 31 January 2027\n1.5 days and 2 evenings: $1\,400\n1 day and 1 evening: $1\,350 \nStandard\, from 1 February 2027\n1.5 days and 2 evenings: $1\,500\n1 day and 1 evening: $1\,450 \nThe above prices are per Global Women member\, GST inclusive\, and cover the programme\, venues\, catering and hosted elements. \nTravel and accommodation are at your own cost. Global Women rates are available at Novotel Hamilton Tainui Hotel and Ibis Hamilton Tainui Hotel. SUMMARY:Global Women 2027 Study Tour to Ireland
DESCRIPTION:Leadership\, influence and connection\, through a uniquely Irish lens\n18–25 July 2027 | Dublin · Belfast · Galway\nJoin a small group of just 16–18 Global Women members for an extraordinary week across Ireland\, combining access to influential leaders and institutions with history\, enterprise\, culture and some of the country’s most memorable places. \nThis tour isn’t about seeing Ireland from the outside. It’s about experiencing the country through the people\, ideas and stories that have shaped it\, while travelling alongside a remarkable group of Global Women members. \nWhat makes this journey different?\nThe programme has been designed around access and conversation that sparks thinking and connection. \nIn Dublin\, our proposed programme includes an intimate leadership conversation with Mary Robinson\, former President of Ireland and UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (under invitation) exploring courageous\, values-led leadership and the role women can play in shaping change. \nWe are also developing an executive briefing with the New Zealand Consulate in Ireland as well as private briefings around business\, art and government. Each of these sessions will have you drawing parallels to the opportunity in Aotearoa and the learnings you can take back home from this similar island nation on the other side of the globe. \nOur leadership and business engagements are currently being developed and are subject to final confirmation. \nAcross Ireland: history\, craft and enterprise\nPart of the pleasure will be the journey itself. From Dublin to Belfast to Galway\, take in the sights and watch history and leadership connect as we explore stops historical significance and centuries of Irish Craftsmanship. \nFinish in Galway at a remarkable moment\, the Galway International Arts Festival celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2027\, as we take in world-class art\, bold new work and ideas\, and walk away with inspiration and cultural conversation. \nStay somewhere exceptional\nStay at landmark five-star city hotels rich in Georgian and Victorian heritage\, elegant Belfast Estates among other world class accommodation. \nExpect warm Irish hospitality and excellent dining (One of the proposed western properties even features a Michelin-starred restaurant!). \nOptional activities include\nDublin 8 Walking tours and food trails in Dublin\, Claddagh Ring making workshops and a tour of the historic Glendalough Monastic site \nEasy from Aotearoa\nFor New Zealand passport holders\, Ireland is refreshingly straightforward: no visa is required for the Ireland portion of this short visit and stay up to 90 days. As the programme crosses into Northern Ireland\, travellers will need a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). \nMore than a study tour\nThis is an opportunity to step outside the everyday and see leadership through a completely different lens. \nTo hear from people who have shaped change. To explore how another small island nation (much like ours) has built global influence. To encounter the history\, creativity and resilience behind modern Ireland. And to do it alongside a small cohort of accomplished Global Women\, with the time and space for conversations that rarely happen in the rhythm of everyday working life. \nCome home with new perspectives\, new connections and an experience that will stay with you long after Ireland. \nInvestment\nInvestment per participant are as follows. Please note that the following costs do not include airfare to and from Ireland\, and can be paid in 3 instalments:\n\n\nCost per person (King room): NZ$18\,200\n\n\nCost per person (Twin share): NZ$14\,600\n\n\nBookings for the Global Women 2027 Study Tour are open now.\nIf you are excited by the opportunity to be part of this Global Women Study Tour\, we encourage you to Register now.
