DESCRIPTION:Turning collective action into change.  \nJoin fellow Global Women members for a special Global Women evening with renowned journalist and broadcaster Alison Mau and leading barrister Zoë Lawton Co-Founders of Tika — Aotearoa’s first independent way to report sexual harm. \nAttendees of our 2026 Hui may have heard Ali and Zoë speak of their vision for Tika and the need for a different pathway for people who experience sexual harm. Now\, with Tika live\, they will return to share their journey – and what it takes to create meaningful change in a system that can leave survivors feeling isolated and without a clear path forward. \nThey will reflect on the broader questions Tika raises for leaders: how can we build systems that make it safer to speak up\, what does accountability look like when individual experiences are connected\, and how might collective action change the way Aotearoa responds to sexual harm? \nFollowing their presentation\, Jane Sweeney\, Global Women member and Executive Chair and Co-Founder of Anthem\, will facilitate a Q&A\, giving members the opportunity to explore the thinking behind Tika\, how its collective-action model works and the change its founders hope to create across the country and further afield. \nJoin us for an important and thought-provoking evening of conversation\, connection and fresh perspective. \nEvent Details:\nWhen: Tuesday 13 October\, 5.30–7.30pm\nWhere: HSBC Tower Level 18/188 Quay Street\, Auckland CBD\, Auckland 1010\nOpen to Global Women Members Only\nTickets: $35 per person (Proceeds from ticket sales will go to Tika) \nWe’re immensely grateful to Buddle Findlay for hosting Global Women on this event. \nPlease note: This event will include discussion of sexual harm.
