Lizzie Champion was appointed General Manager GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) New Zealand in December February 2019 moving to New Zealand with her family from the United Kingdom in March 2019.
Lizzie has over 15 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry navigating local market and global roles. Lizzie has worked across a range of therapeutic areas from biologics in specialty care, respiratory medicine, through to off-patent medicines and wellness products available in pharmacy.
After completing a degree in English literature at Oxford University, Lizzie joined GSK progressing through a range of sales and marketing roles in the UK pharmaceutical and then consumer healthcare businesses. After three years in Singapore working in global brand roles, Lizzie returned to the UK to work in GSK’s Emerging Markets office, leading strategy and operations for the region. Most recently, Lizzie led GSK UK’s specialised respiratory business unit taking a critical new medicine from market access to patient uptake.
