Bring your friends and colleagues and join Global Women and Ranjna Patel, Founder of Nirvana Health Group and Shree Swaminarayan Temple, to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights!
Learn about the history and many meanings of this beloved festival, while enjoying traditional food and dance and exploring the Temple. You’ll immerse yourself in Hindu culture—with the opportunity to wear traditional dress, enjoy a delicious meal, and even have your hands painted with henna if you would like.
Our host Ranjna will discuss the importance and relevance of Diwali, the cultural and commercial realities of being an Indian and Hindu in New Zealand, and the story of how Shree Swaminarayan Temple was established.
This unique cultural experience is kindly made possible to the Global Women community by Ranjna and Kanti Patel, so don’t miss out—secure your ticket today.
Wearing traditional dress
To help you get into the spirit of Diwali, we invite you to wear traditional dress.
If you don’t have your own sari, we have a large selection available for you to wear on the evening. The cost of these are included in the ticket price. There are also men’s outfits available for purchase at a cost of $45.
